Definite trill to the 'r', and more a 'u' than an 'oo'.<br />Our recipe was somewhat different as well - but there are so many variations. We cooled the cookies completely and then dusted them with powdered sugar. My Nana did NOT want the sugar to 'melt' on the cookies. <br />My Mom (and I, and daughter) made over 25 dozen cookies for daughter's wedding, as part of the favors. We made them for Christmas, personal and gifts, ate them until they were gone - they were always stored in brown paper bags, and saved about a dozen to eat the morning of Easter.
